Because I am not always able to answer questions right away, here are few things you can try to get a timely answer. First: Send e-mail to [email protected]. Make sure that the subject line begins with FAQ and then your question. For example a subject might be, "FAQ: What should be in the subject line?" Within in the body of the message, list your question including the context and where you have already looked for the answer. The more details, the better. For instance, list your role in your organization if it's applicable. Is it because you just inherited a new department that you're asking? Did you CFO ask you to get these statistics? Have you already looked at the several sites and didn't find the answer you were looking for? Which sites did you try? You don't have to provide all this stuff, but it sure helps. Second: Send your question to one of the training-related discussion list on the internet. Some require you first join. If for some reason you don't want to send a question to a list yourself, I can send appropriate questions there for you. Mention you haven't sent the question to the list in your e-mail suggested in the first step. Third: Check the Learnativity.com search if you haven't done so already. Then, ask your question using a good search engine like Google.com, Alta Vista, Northern Light; a pointer site like About.com and Looksmart.com; an answer site like AskJeeves or eHow.com, or a terms site like Encarta or Dictionary.com. I've had mixed results with these tools, but always find something interesting. It might just lead you to information you didn't know was available. Fourth: Ask again at [email protected] if you still haven't heard from me. Be sure to list what you've tried since asking the first time. Thanks for your patience. I take these questions very seriously and try to do my best answering them. Realize, however, I do them in my free time and have to work that time in between other activities. | |||||||||||||||||||||
