Marcia L. Conner

CEO and Co-founder, Learnativity
Editor-in-Chief,
Learning in the New Economy e-Magazine (LiNE Zine)
President, Central Virginia ISPI

Marcia Conner has been a leader in the cognitive revolution for over a decade. Technologist and information architect, Ms. Conner offers insights into trends that shape the online world and what it takes to improve business one person at a time.

She has built and directed two worldwide education organizations (for Microsoft and PeopleSoft), took a company public in 1995, had the role of information futurist and chief experience designer for PeopleSoft's e-business, community-based initiatives, and sits on the boards of several eBusiness companies.

She is editor-in-chief of LiNE Zine, a new e-magazine on Learning in the New Economy (www.linezine.com), manages the popular Learnativity.com website (www.learnativity.com), and is in the process of writing a book on how learning influences life.

In 1998 she co-founded The Learnativity Alliance to promote the notion that individual and organizational effectiveness depends not only on learning better, faster, and cheaper but on the consistent application of learning, combined with creativity, flexibility, and paying close attention to the right things. She and her team provide market analysis, advisory services, keynotes, seminars, and an online community for those asking tough questions about learning and productivity.

She has lived and worked on three continents, is an avid whitewater kayaker, and volunteers her time to talk with teachers and parents about creative solutions for working with children who have learning disabilities. Between travels, she lives on a farm in a forest in Hanover County, Virginia.
