With all the mega-women's portals, I have yet to find a single source of solid information for and about women in business that's reliable to navigate and easy to access. As a result, I've put together this list of resources for myself and anyone else who will find the resources valuable. Think I'm missing something? Let me know! By no means is this a comprehensive list of all the valuable information and resources for women in business. These are just things I've found helpful to me. If you send another suggestion, tell me how it helped you! Enjoy. I don't find it quite so wonderful (or even 1/2 as good as Working Woman Magazine) but it's a good start for a relativeily new website. Collins. Profit Magazine. "The visibility of women in the workforce has never been greater than today. The Women's 1998 Economic Summit reported that women make 80% of the purchasing decisions in the economy. Businesses owned by women contribute $2.3 trillion annually to the GNP and employ nearly a quarter of U.S. workers. With the Census Bureau reporting that women are starting new businesses at twice the rate of men, the trend is up, and continuation of that trend is expected." | |||||||||||||||||||
